The Return of Isabelle Fuhrman as Esther, the Pretend Child Psycho, in an Even More Utterly ridiculous Prequel to 'Orphan: First Kill'

Image
Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman), the demon child of the 2009 horror thriller "Orphan," was a 9-year-old psycho freak who dressed like a frumpy Victorian doll and spoke in a Russian accent, turning up the heat on her malevolence by making her appear not just a junior devil but a junior devil from Putin's land. Monster children movies have a long history (the first, "The Bad Seed," was released in 1956), and after "The Omen," "The Brood," "Ringu," and so many others, there wasn't much room for a pulp horror film like "Orphan" to surprise us. But, in its pulpy bazooka way, the film did have an original twist: Esther was not, in fact, nine years old; she was Leena, a woman in her early thirties with a rare hormonal disorder that stunted her physical development. The blunder of "Orphan" was that it wasn't much different from the film it would have been if Esther had just been 9 years old. If the adult-woman-in-a-chi...

'Purple Hearts' movie review: Netflix's cookie-cutter romance adaptation

Image
'Purple Hearts' quickly loses its footing while attempting to straddle many different cliches, leaving only a characterless adaptation standing. Purple Hearts, which is expected to be Netflix's most-watched film this year, plays out like a conservative fanfiction. While the film attempts to depict a romance between two people from opposing political ideologies, its insistence on locating all of its sympathies with the United States military overshadows everything else. Cassie Salazar (Sofia Carson) is an aspiring musician who enters a marriage of convenience with Luke Morrow (Nicholas Galitzine), a soon-to-be deployed U.S. soldier. WE'RE ALL GOING TO THE WORLD'S FAIR FILM REVIEW (2022)

Image
We're All Going to the World's Fair contains an intriguing story. It has a strong resonance in a discussion about our current relationship with technology and social media, as well as the consequences of the lack of control that this culture is associated with. This story, however, is hidden deep within an already cryptic film that does not attempt to move in the same rhythm as other genre films. XEM THÊM :  247Club ⭐️ Cổng game đổi thưởng uy tín bậc nhất Jane Schoenbrun has created a world that does not encourage idle exploration. It's an organic and extreme rendering of the effect social media can have. And, no, I don't believe Schoenbrun intended things to be simple for viewers. Should we honor that? Absolutely. However, We're All Going to the World's Fair is not for everyone. Of course, this is not a bad thing. We're just used to films opening up new worlds to us, and when that doesn't happen, we can mistake an artistic decision for a lack of tale...

After a backlash from fans, Marvel is repairing the She-Hulk CGI

Image
The CGI in the She-Hulk trailer did not win over audiences, but there is new information that can give MCU fans hope for the future. Many viewers who watched the trailer praised what they saw. Jennifer Walters' story, humor, and action all seemed to fit our expectations. The big hulk size issue is that the CGI in the trailer looks awkward, which is causing quite a stir online. For hours after, the term "The CGI" trended on Twitter, and there are numerous videos online with people commenting on and judging the CGI. This kind of backlash hasn't been seen since Sonic the Hedgehog's debut. What's more interesting is that the CGI for Mark Ruffalo's The Hulk appears to be completely finished. The Gentleman, directed by Guy Ritchie (2019)

Image
Guy Ritchie's Once reigned supreme in the British gangster film. Mr. Ritchie has moved away from his most familiar genre in the last decade (with mixed results), but with the release of The Gentleman, he has firmly returned to it. But can this new film reach the heights that his previous films, Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) and Snatch (2000) - his two most well-received offerings and the films that launched his career - did, or is it just another barrel scraping effort? XEM THÊM :  Giới thiệu về IWIN club The story begins in gloomy London, with self-made Mickey Pearson (Matthew McConaughey) looking to sell his cannabis cultivation empire. Mickey is an American outcast in a world dominated by British gangsters. The name of the game is weed seeds, but Mickey has clearly had more than his fair share and is ready to leave.
